Managing information and responding to the many diverse requirements of governments, building conditions, and society is increasingly important in the construction industry. The architectural profession is rapidly integrating the technology of computers and automation to assist in the management of information and to free up time for creative work. Exploring this data will help you understand which key advanced courses are offered at each high school, and whether students across different racial groups and income levels have equitable access to those advanced courses.

Academics

Graduates will be equipped for advance entry into the competitive construction trades and post-secondary education programs. They will also be prepared to make assured life choices, and become powerful agents of change in the community at large. Not to be confused with a traditional vocational education program,  our CTE programs teach the theory and science behind the trade and provides support with employment outside of school. Each program has been fitted to address the needs of 21st century employers as well as intellectually engage our students through complex coursework. We also connect qualified students to Driver’s Education, at no charge to families.

CSDA has served as consultants to educational facility planners worldwide and national sound insulation projects. The National Main Street Center was established as a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1980 to address the myriad issues facing older and historic downtowns during that time. An exciting new chapter for the organization began on July 1, 2013, when the National Main Street Center launched as an independent subsidiary of the National Trust. This transition enables Main Street to build on its three-decade record of success, with new leadership and new resources that will help communities respond to evolving needs and opportunities in the commercial district revitalization field.

Bronx Design and Construction Academy offers students 21st-century trade training, innovative sustainability practices, and rigorous academics.

High schools can make a significant difference in helping students who are low-income and first-generation college students complete the FAFSA. The three schools share a cafeteria, small library, auditorium, gym and an outdoor turf-coated football/soccer field. We offer five CTE programs; Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC, Electric, and Architectural Drafting/Pre-Engineering.
